Description:
Roman marble portrait of the military officer Arrius Iustus, dating to ca. 300 CE. He wears a fringed military cloak (paludamentum). The inscription at the base of the bust reads, in part: Arrio Iusto homini optimo quem (To Arrius Iustus, the best (of) men).
