(Санкт-Петербург, Государственный Эрмитаж).
In the middle a woman appears dressed in a sleeveless chiton, belted very high and with a slit. The folds of her chiton accentuate with fine lines the contours of the breasts, hips and right leg.
The hair is gathered into a chignon at the nape of the neck. In her right hand, she holds a torch and in her left a staff.
She is flanked by two young athletes who are ready for the torch race or lampadedromia.
The woman is looking at the athlete on the right and handing him the unlit torch. The athletes wear crowns of leaves.
