A Roman.

Copenhagen, New Carlsberg Glyptotek
(København, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek).
99. Roman
When this young Roman was purchased in 1887, it came with the designation “Caligula”. Since that time, it has been identified as Licinius Crassus Scribonianus. But there is nothing substantial about either of these designations. The subject of the portrait thus remains anonymous. Original: Neronian era.
