Origin:
Tuscolo near Frascati, Province of Rome, formerly in Agliè Castle, Province of Turin.
Description:
The features of this marble head, especially the shape of the skull, suggest that it represents C. Iulius Caesar (100—44 BC). It may be the replica of a bronze original made in the last years of his life, or soon after his death.
