Origin:
According to legend, acquired in Italy in the beginning of the 19th century and kept in a private collection in St. Petersburg. In the autumn of 1918 it was acquired by O. E. Braz, whose collection was nationalized after his arrest in 1924. The subsequent fate of the head is unknown.
