Rome, Museum of the Altar of Augustan Peace (Ara Pacis Augustae)
(Roma, Museo dell’Ara Pacis).

Description:
In 1788 this slab was acquired by Pius VI Braschi for the Vatican collections. Therefore it was not moved to the Uffizi together with those eventually restored by Carradori, but remained in Rome, where all the faces, except for two in the background, were reconstructed. Therefore, such restoration work can hardly be ascribed to Francesco Carradori, also because of the apparent differences in style and technique.
