Origin:
From palazzo Campello. Donated to the Duomo by Contessa Guglielmina Campello in 1954 on occasion of repavement of piazza del Duomo. Mounted in the right wall of the piazza at the suggestion of archbishop Raffaele Mario Radossi.
Description:
Hunters with dogs are preparing for a hunt. The left one holds the horse by the bridle. The horse is covered with a lion’s skin. A noble man in the centre wears a paludamentum and a lorica tied with a Hercules knot. His hips are protected with leather pterygi.
