Monument in Adamklissi (reconstruction).
Description:
Built according the emperor Trajanus’ order in 109 CE in honour of the victorious completion of Dacian wars. The oval structure, 38 m in diameter, layed on the multi-step socle and ended with dome-shaped cone crowned with trophy. The crown of the monument was girded by frieze, and the metopes of the frieze were decorated by bas-reliefes representing the scienes of the finished war.
