Description:
In June 1950 in room 7 two tondi were found. One depicted a male bust with kantharos, the other a female bust, maybe a poetess, holding a wreath with a red ribbon (figs. 19-20). After the tondo with male figure was stolen in 1957, the second fresco was removed and displayed in the Antiquarium Stabiano.
Nell’ambiente 7 furono rinvenute, nel giugno del 1950, due immagini racchiuse in un tondo: una configura di giovane con kantharos e l’altra con l’immagine di una giovane donna dal volto ispirato, forse una poetessa, che sostiene nella mano una corona decorata con un nastro rosso (foto 19-20). Il seguito al furto del tondo con il giovane, avvenuto nel 1975, il secondo affresco fu staccato e portato all’Antiquarium Stabiano.
