From the Townley collection, 1805. Bought by Charles Townley from Jenkins in 1778/79.
Description:
Portrait bust of Salonia Matidia (4 VII 68 — 23 XII 119). Salonia Matidia was the daughter of Ulpia Marciana, and the niece of the emperor Trajan. She was the mother of in law of the emperor Hadrian who married with her daughter Vibia Sabina.
