Excavated 1894—1895. North exedra-pinacotheca, north wall.
Description:
Painting of two warships power by oars filled with men carrying round shield and spears. Notice the long mastheads (rostra) of the ships. In the background are porticoes and piers. This scene probably represents a battle maneuver. Resting on the painting a basket containing a veiled phallus. The mask of Silenus rests on the right side of the basket.
