Description:
Johannes Felbermeyer, the professional photographer, takes a photo of a picture at the allied Central Collecting Point (CCP) in Munich. Seated Hermes prepared for photofixation is in the lower left corner of the picture. The head of the statue is absent. It has fallen off in the course of transportation of the statue to Munich in 1945 and cracked to more than forty fragments.
