To Caius Domitius Fabius Hermogenes, son of Lucius, from the Palatina tribe, scribe to the aediles curules, coopted council member, flamen of Divus Hadrianus in which priesthood he alone and for the first time has given theater games at his expense, aedilis. The most splendid order of council members has honoured him with a public funeral and decreed that an equestrian statue with inscription should be erected for him on the forum paid by public funds. It deemed that no aedilis should be appointed in his place in consolation of Fabius, his father, who has given to the city, for the honours conferred upon him (i.e. his son), the sum of 50,000 sesterces from the interests of which at five percent should be distributed each year on the 13th day before the Kalends of August, his birthday (i.e. of his son), 550 denarii to the council members present on the forum before the statue, to the decurial scribae cerariae 37.5 denarii, to the librarii 12 denarii and also to the lictores 25 (?) denarii. Lucius Fabius Eutychus, lictor curiatius, scriba cerarius and librarius, president of builders’ guild of Ostia, and Artoria, his parents.
