Origin:
The Altemps collection.
Additions: the right hand with a brush prior to the beginning of the staff, the nose and the ringlet of the beard, the hair on rhe temples. The staff is made of original fragments with the addition, simulating a head of a snake. The head does not approach.
Description:
The head which does not belong to the statue is presumably a copy of a head of the philosopher Solon.
